Clerodendrum

Clerodendrum thomsoniae

The Clerodendrum is a perennial plant that finds its roots in Africa and often gets the name Bloody Heart from its flowers’ characteristic shape and color. It is a tall, climbing shrub with slender branches and thick foliage.

The flowers form small clusters, are white with a red interior, and contrast with its dark green leaves. The best place for this shrub is in a shady spot in the garden and in a place where it mixes with other plants or climbs a fence.
